Why I quote from the Bible?

After writing my previous post Christian's Questions, a Christian said to me: “You are claiming anything you say about the Bible should be accepted and if not we are insane/stupid.”   Well, honestly it’s not the case, I call insane for those who read in a book, the author of that book is insulting God several times yet claiming that book is the words of God!? I am claiming the insane is the one who find so many contradictions in a book, yet consider that book to be perfect! This is the insane in my opinion.

Also the Christian asked me, you proved that we can’t trust the Bible then why you Muslims are quoting the Bible to prove that Prophet Mohammed (Peace and prayers be upon him) is the last messenger. It doesn’t make sense, in one post you say we can’t trust the Bible and on another you quote the Bible to prove your points. Well Christian, you should know that I never said everything in the Bible is wrong, I said the Bible was changed, human modified the words of God, added some, removed some other based on their interests. For example, a of book of 600 pages, let’s assume 300 pages of that book is corrupted, while 300 pages is not, it means we can use the 300 correct pages, right? That’s what Muslims are doing. First they prove the Bible are changed by human beings, it can’t be trusted 100% yet there are correct words.

Secondly, Muslims use the Bible to convince you Non-Muslims, because you Christians unlike Muslims, you believe the Bible is 100% true, it’s words of God, there can’t be mistake in this book. The Muslims quoting verses from your own book that you trust to prove that Prophet Mohammed is the last messenger, that Jesus is not son of God, that in this same book there are insults to God. If a Muslims used the words of Quran it wouldn’t be enough for you Christians because you would say: “I don’t care about the Quran I don’t believe in the Quran, no matter how many verses you quote you will not convince me” so the Muslims are quoting from your own Book the Bible to convince you. Now if you are not convinced with the book you believe in to be the words of God then there is no way a human can convince you.

Thirdly, the Bible verses the Muslims are quoting it’s supporting the concepts in Quran like there is no God but Allah, Prophet Mohammed is the last messenger, Jesus is not Son of God…etc If you read my previous posts I have proved from your own Book “The Bible” that there are verses where God is greatly insulted, I proved there are contradictions about Jesus being the Son of God and presenting you with a book we believe to be from Allah which says that Jesus is not Son of God and presenting God in a perfect manner. Remember that we Muslims don’t need the Bible or words of Prophet Jesus (Peace and Prayer be upon him) or any other scripture to prove that Islam is the truth, for we already have the Quran the book we believe to be the words of God. It’s you Christians who needs verses from your own book to be convinced that Islam is the truth and what you are believing in are full of flaws and contradictions.

I will give you a real life example, if for example I came up with a new idea and wrote a book about this idea, I was the one who originated this idea, however you rejected this new idea because you already wrote a book earlier about a different idea and it contains words about different topics. What I will do to convince you? First I will test my idea, if it passed all logical tests, and used all reasoning and common sense yet it passed it’s great evidence that my idea is correct. Then I will use common sense, logical arguments and reasoning to your idea, if your idea failed it proves your idea was wrong. Third I will use your own book that you wrote to show you that even in your own book you have words that support my idea which I wrote a book about, which further support my idea to be correct and yours to be wrong. The three attempts should be more than enough to convince you that your idea is wrong and mine is correct but still you might not accept for many different reasons and in this post I am not planning to write about such reasons.

Christian, I proved you in every possible way, I tried to convince you by logic and common sense what you believe in is wrong, I proved from our book of God the “Quran” that what you believe in is wrong, I proved from your own book: “The Bible” that you believe to be words of God that what you believe in is wrong? Is there another way to convince you? If you are still convinced it just proves that your mind is blocked by something beyond my knowledge, that you can’t accept it, could it be pride, could it be love of debate, could be fear, could be hatred, could be ignorant, society, family…etc I don’t know I will leave that answer to you.

  1. I studied for 5 years the bible in my catholic high school, on my twitter you can see the true bible in pics with the old and new testament, the bibles are different because my bible have got approximate 10.000 pages as rice paper in total, the difference between others is about the review and the explanation about each topic, the Bible is a complete joke to the belief of the people.

If you read a Bible in english is different to the real, like Roman Apostolic because the real texts are in latin, italian, spanish and greek, in general the texts in greek are catholics orthodox.

You have got reason that book was written by many men as state of politic like one mission: the evangelization and take the control and power of the world as state, The vatican. My last Bible was review in Madrid in 1995... Very stranger! hahahahahaha!!! If any people has got just a little brain what religion, change or review they facts? Please people, is easy! just think a little more...

The catholic church made disaster in many countries of the catholic story and in special the last two centuries with many people with other religion. I don't want speak about me here. Only i'll tell you that: The people for different reason escaped from Europe or other countries of middle east to America, latin America for the war, the hunger, etc... In Latin America the church was criminal, changed the names, the real surnames of muslims, and changed for christian surnames... Many families loose they heritage, they religion. Were that or die.

I'm muslim with pride, The Quran is the unique book with the Allah word.

I met new muslims, many people met the unique truth, all they are people with studies as doctors, professors, etc... If you read... and think just a little the real truth is obviously, be muslim is a bless, a nice gift of Allah.

  2. AbdulAziz, you know I love to debate with you, but, our debates are mainly for seeking understanding of one another...you are unlike many . How many ppl leave religions of all sorts because they are not happy with the teachings, political reasons, Or an experience..I gave you the analogy "To many cooks in the Kitchen" Once, remember.. Muḥammad(pbuh) had the kitchen pretty much to himself..many yrs to complete his book..Now we have the other books or and book..Generations after Generations have added to that book..adding maybe there own favorite recipes..some out of traditions..some recipes no matter what you do to them, adding more or less spice..they still leave a bitter taste in your mouth..but, there are good and true recipes in that book..so the question is this..should that book be totally thrown out?...That is a question only the individual can make..In the New Testament..if you read the bible you will notice certain words are printed in red..those words cannot be changed, by any Christian who fears God.. they are the words spoken by Jesus(pbuh)..and in those words are to which the prophet Muhammad (pbuh)is alluded to according to Muslims..As we have discussed before..everyone has there own spiritual journey he or she must take..one must never think they are above someone else because he or she cannot understand the others point of view.. God alone...and only him..shall judge..and making fun of a religion is not the way to cast light on your own...and that was not for you AbdulAziz.. you have stated I maybe Muslim in spirit..Might be..but, I still cannot cast off Jesus(pbuh) as I would if I had sand in my sandle..We forget what God has given us as a gift..Free will...Only through prayer shall we travel a path that leads to Heaven and God. Where all our Answers will be answered. I am thinking...it won't really matter to us anymore. God be with You all..Love, and pray for peace..P.S..I am still reading the Quran and researching about Muhammad(pbuh)..hmmm another time..Chrislim;)

  13. WHY QUOTE THE BIBLE?

Is it not ironic that those who claim that the Bible is filled with errors, contradictions, and is, in general an unreliable book, are the first ones to quote the Bible to support their doctrinal positions concerning God and His commandments?

Is it credible to quote from the Bible to support a doctrinal position, if your primary source of authority is a creed book, a catechism, a so-called book of new revelation, or a statement of faith? If the Bible is not your authority for faith and practice; how rational would it be to quote from it to support your position?

If the Bible and the Bible alone is not your authority and your authority alone, for faith and practice, then, to make a practice of quoting Scripture to prove a doctrinal point would not only be unreasonable and irrational, it would in fact, be dishonest.

Either the Bible is your authority or it is not. You cannot have it both ways.

    SATAN QUOTED THE BIBLE

The devil quoted Scripture when he temped Jesus in the wilderness. The problem was God's word was not his authority.(Matthew 4:1-11)

Even though Satan knew God's word he was not obedient to it and lied about God's word, starting in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:1-13)

To quote from the Bible to support or refute a position of faith or practice and not believe that the Bible is trustworthy and is the sole authority from God, is not only disingenuous, but irrational, and does not offer credibility to any position of faith expressed.

WHY QUOTE THE BIBLE IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS GOD'S INERRANT WORD AND IT IS THE SUPREME AUTHORITY AND THE SUPREME AUTHORITY ALONE?
