Discussion with Non-Muslim 5

Non-Muslim: bear in mind that faith also creates many destructive forces. It has both pros and cons. Wars, mistreatment of others, etc shouldn't be forgotten.

AbdulAziz: That’s only faith filled with ignorance otherwise if one has faith in Almighty God and he follows exactly what God said, faith can never be considered as a disadvantage. It’s true that there might be wars in the name of God but how is that wrong? God told us, in the book we believe, he revealed that if you were attacked you have the right to defend yourself and fight back. God told us through his prophets that we shouldn’t kill others just because they have different religions. Mistreatment of others!? It’s not faith that drives them to mistreat others but in fact ignorance because the original of every wrong deed and bad behavior is ignorance.  Ignorance mixed with faith can result in what you said like wars or mistreatment of others. It’s ignorance about faith that drives such acts, while faith in Almighty God and following what he said as I said earlier, their fruits are only beneficial for the whole humanity in fact for the whole world.

For example, our Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him, warned us that if we killed innocent Non-Muslims (Jews, Christians…etc) we will not even smell the scent of heaven which can be smelled from XYZ years! If Muslims really had faith that God exists, Prophet Mohammed is his messenger and he will be rewarded what I mentioned then for sure this will lead that he don’t kill. However, if we saw an evil person killing innocent human beings with no rights at all it’s our humanity added with faith will give us the greater motivation to help the innocents thus wars sometimes occurs, but if it occurred for this reason (Defending the weak and the innocent) even war a destructive force has its benefits. What God said in the Quran:

“And did not God check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief: But God is full of bounty to all the Worlds.”

Non-Muslim: Faith is not the sole motivator. When I donate to charities and give blood, I never have a theistic mindset. Why not make the test for entering heaven "trying to be the most moral person you can be", instead of the specific reason you try to be moral?

AbdulAziz: Who said Faith is the sole motivator!? It’s not but it’s one of the greatest drives for humans to do good deeds, I already explained this previously, if you are having difficulty of understanding it I might give you other examples as well. I when I want to give blood, I can have the mindset that I want to be the most moral person I can be, this is a great motivation however I also have other thing that boosts my motivation, it’s my faith. When we Muslims give charities for others we can have many reason why we are giving the charity, it can be to be to help others, to remove my attachment from money…etc that’s all beautiful but what makes the job much easier is having faith in a God who said give charity, your money will be blessed, I will reward you even if it was a simple charity I will grow it for you like a mountain. This faith alone greatly boosts motivation to give charity even for those who love money and fear of turning poor.

Non-Muslim: since you mention the Quaran never conflicting with science, I will assume you acknowledge evolution since it is labeled a scientific fact by 99.9% of the scientific community. A micro-fraction askew from the percentage of scientists that acknowledge gravity/gravitation.

AbdulAziz: That’s only claim because the same theory you labeled as fact are considered false not by me or Muslims but those scientific community you claimed. Plus 99.9% is not 100% there are countless professors already considering this theory as history. Countless articles were written proving that the theory is wrong. I never might countless sane people saying fire is cold! So once that theory is considered fact as the fact that fire is hot then I will acknowledge it.

Non-Muslim: Are you saying that God exists because the universe exists and everything except God has to have been created? However, to claim that God is the exception to the rule doesn't make sense.  Why would he be the exception?  Isn't that a little too convenient?

AbdulAziz: Yeah that’s what I am saying; everything besides God is creation, thus created by someone, creator who we call God.  The problem some people don ‘t understand the concept of God I am talking about,  when I say God I am assuming you understand what it really means to be called “God”. A God worthy to be worshiped should be the only creator and sustainer of all that exists and that nothing and no one exists alongside Him. Perfect God is the God that doesn’t have any partners or a son. Once you say God was created you are actually saying he is a creation not the creator and we both by common sense know that’s not perfect. God is not created, nor is he like his creation in anyway. In Quran he calls himself by a number of names and three of them are: The First, The Last, The Eternal, who is sought after by His creation, while He has no need from them at all, The All Almighty, The All Merciful, The Pure One, The Source Of Peace, The Compeller, The Absolute Ruler, The Creator, The Maker Of Order, The Shaper of Beauty, The Giver of All, The Sustainer, The Loving One, The Truth, The All Powerful, The Glorious, The Owner of All, The Knower of All, The Hearer of All, The All-Aware, The Magnificent…etc He always has existed and He never was created, as He is not like His creation, nor similar to it, in any way. Once you defined God as I have defined you would understand why God is exception and that’s perfectly logical.

Non-Muslim:  It's like if I said "Well everyone has to follow the rules that I create but not me because I created the rules."

AbdulAziz: We would have followed your rules if you were having the same attributes as the God I described above. If a human claimed he is God I can easily say you are not God thus you are not worth worshiping, because you die God doesn’t die. You were in a woman’s womb for 9 months mixed with blood and all, God doesn’t need that. You eat, drink you are forced to go to toilet almost daily it’s not something you can control.  God is not being forced but he forces so simply we can say yeah true you claimed something but your claim is wrong….

~Words~

One wise man once told me that words
Are the soul and the mentality of our worlds

They can touch, even if they can't be seen
They can move you , even if it's not a being

Words can burn and freeze,
They can even remove disease,

Verbs, nouns, adjectives -
Heart of hidden fantasies.

Although it seems true, I replied
"I know one thing that can't be denied:

Life's like a scene where Hamlet acts,
Without actions and progress, without facts

We'll never be spiritually free and gain liberty.
Words are only bags of intellectual poverty.”

~Are You Ready~

If the time has come for you to crossover
Say goodbye to your friends, parents and lover

Can you convincingly tell yourself “I am ready?”
Then face thy death with a voice steady?

The moment you exhale your last breath
The instant you face the angel of death

Will you hold onto your faith if it’s like wind?
Shall you utter “Forgive me for I’ve sinned?”

~What Can I Do~

There is no one being greater than He
The Creator of each bird and tree

Though worlds and mountains came to be
He sends his mercy towards you and me.

What can I do, one small as I
With no great powers of my own

I cannot make the small birds fly
Or the giant trees around me grow.

I cannot paint the sunset sky
Grand colors high above

And though my hopeful heart does try,
I can’t sing like the dove.

What can I give the Lord of All
To confess my love and gratitude?

When I with pen and paper scrawl,
My words prove simple platitudes.

One simple power God gave me,
Within my own two hands

To share His love to those I see
And strangers in all foreign lands.

He freely gives to all who try,
So, towards my neighbors, why can't I?

Discussion with Non-Muslim 4

AbdulAziz: I always thought that the Jews are people I cannot understand easily but I realized Atheists are even more surprising. How can they be so brave to challenge the existence of God when the threat or promise is so important, Eternal Hell or Eternal Heaven! I mean if I am playing a game and I know that I am 90% correct and the other side said if you lost the game, you would go to jail for 5 years, but if you won you would get 10 Million dollars still I would not be ready to take the risk to be in jail for 5 years regardless of what likely I am going to get in the game.

How could Atheists have the guts to deny the existence of God and they don't approve his existence when the punishment of such denial is HELL for eternity, I am not talking about 5 years in jail and not a year getting boiled and burned in hell fire like a fish. I am not talking about 100 year 1000000 centuries but I am talking about ETERNITY! How could they take such a risk when they don't have the evidence that back up their claims!? I would like to ask those Atheists, What's making you dare to take this challenge and ready to get punished if you were wrong? I admit I cannot be like you guys, and I believe countless number of humans can't be like Atheists? What's the secret behind that guts?

Non-Muslim: The same can be asked of you. How do you know which religion is the correct one? Are you prepared to face the consequences of your decision? You have just as much chance of being wrong as the rest of us.

AbdulAziz: Nope! My situation is different, simply because of using common sense. Suppose now you have the Bible in Front of you and Christian’s believers themselves says there are contradictions in that Bible. They say that Almighty God is a Human and a God at the same time, saying the impossible thing. Now if the Judgment day came and Almighty God asked me: "AbdulAziz, why you didn't believe that Bible is my words, why you didn't believe I became a human and got slapped!" I would innocently answer, Oh God, because I really thought you’re far greater, I thought you could never contradict yourself, oh God, I never thought that your majesty will live in a woman’s womb for 9 months for the sake of humans. If God sent me to Hell I would never ever till the end would feel that I was treated with justice.

However, if a Christian stood in front of God and Almighty God asked him: "How you dare to say a book full of contradiction is my words!?" or "How you dare to say that I became a human and gone through such insults of living 9 months mixed with blood" How dare you to say this? If God sent the Christian in Hell I swear that the Christian would realize that he deserved that punishment which is logical.

My believe by no means is going against common sense, reasons, logic....etc that's why Hitt (A non-Muslim) said: "Islam does not set impossible goals. There are no mythological intricacies in this message. No hidden meanings or secrets and absolutely no priesthood.” Same goes for the Jews, they believe Almighty God does exists, they say wrong things about him but they never denied his existence, they know he exists, he created everything...etc but Atheists deny his existence to extent they are ready to say we don't know who created the universe but it's not God, they can accept anything but not the fact the God created the universe. Usually you will find most of them insulting Almighty God.

Non-Muslim: ABDUL IS IT TRUE PEOPLE WITH SILLY HATS KILL AMERICANS IN RETURN FOR VIRGINS?

AbdulAziz: If you mean by Silly Hats the Muslim then no that's rumors, fake and falsehoods because Islam never promised them that if they killed Americans they will get virgins. In fact, Americans were not known at that time.

Non-Muslim: SILLYHATS DID 9/11.

AbdulAziz: SillyHats but not real Muslims

Non-Muslim: And if I were to say to Allah, "Oh, Lord, I apologize, but you simply did not give us enough evidence" and was subsequently banished to Hell just for being honest, I would also consider Him unjust.

AbdulAziz: When we want to examine something to be true what is the criteria we should use so it can be true and accepted to be true universally? Ask yourself this question! I can say: “Hey my life became far better when I accepted Jesus and believed in him” then I would say that's why Christianity is true but that doesn't mean anything because it only true to me, tomorrow you might say hey I accepted Allah as the Only Mighty God and am feeling better, that wouldn't mean a thing. To accept something to be true there are sets of principles, criteria, evidence, reasoning, common sense. Now ask any wise man, ask anyone one with sane mind and I challenge him what makes sense more, God being Always God or God becoming a human and still be considered a God! Your ignorance is not a fact, when you think no one can know the truth you are just trying to justify your doubts and fears, and the fact that truth is not clear for you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Even at the time of Mohammed, Allah didn't have to prove much about his existence because of the signs...etc it was so clear, That why he said in the Quran is there any doubt about God! No Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu...etc would deny his existence because his existence is the common sense, his existence is the reasoning, his existence is the possible but denying his existence is the impossible, using common sense and reasoning

Non-Muslim: If God exists, then I suppose they derive their so-called "guts" from their ignorance of Him.

AbdulAziz: I always kept saying this to myself; it’s good to hear that from Atheists themselves.

Discussion with Non-Muslim 3

Discussion about Hopeless situations human might be in.

Non-Muslim: I would hope that in that situation I would continue to seek medical help and prepare myself for the inevitable. The very act of prayer is ridiculous apart from as a desperate cry.

AbdulAziz: That’s what we actually do, we seek medical help and we prepare ourselves, however, we have one more solution in our hands, it’s our faith in the supernatural powers of Almighty God, this faith alone is more than enough to change our behavior when we are sick. You can’t deny billion stories of sick people getting cured from hopeless diseases when they started praying for help from God. I actually don’t know “How” it worked, it can be for many reasons but the act alone (Of praying to God) helped billion of sick people till our time. So you have 2 weapons (Seek medical help, prepare yourself) but we have three (Seek medical help, prepare ourselves, faith)

Non-Muslim: And now we see the real danger with religion, if I or people I know are deprived of their rights I don't want us to withdraw into ourselves muttering for opiates from the voices in our heads, I want to see them standing in defiance

AbdulAziz: I understand all that, standing up, fighting for your rights…etc it’s all great, however, suppose you are powerless, you have no power to get your right, your fellow humans are not helping you, the difference again between those who don’t believe in God and we who believe in God, is that those who denied his existence, will remain powerless but we have faith at least we will not be depressed, it gives us hope, that if we can’t get justice here God will give us justice in this life or hereafter, this thought alone can relief us of the many mental problems. Remember we both are powerless, which state is better, to be sad and you complain being powerless or to have peace of mind in such state?

Non-Muslim: Learn to have pride in yourself, in your fellow man, in your family and community, what is there to take pride in as a slave to God

AbdulAziz: That doesn’t contradicts what I said at all, we can have pride in ourselves, family…etc however, we have another thing we can be proud of is that actually being servants of Almighty God. Even though I am not sure about you but I am pretty sure that just entering the white house or shaking hands with Obama might give you great pleasure and sense of pride, isn’t it? You might take photos of yourself, paste them on boards…etc why all this? Just because you were in the white house or captured photo with a president (Who is actually non-perfect being, another fellow human). We on the other hand are servants of someone who we believe created our great universe; just being servant of someone who created the universe where the “White House” is residing gives me greater pride. You might ask oh c’mon Obama we can see him, he is having billions of dollars but we can answer you but our God is someone who considers this whole life less than a bug’s wings for his kingdom can’t be compared to this world can you imagine the sense of pride those who believes in him have in their heart.

Non-Muslim:
Really? If you believe in Allah, nothing can make you sad? Citation required

AbdulAziz: You want a perspective from Quran or what? Since we have faith in Allah’s words the following verses are more than enough for us to not be sad, the following is translation of God’s words in Quran
“And if any one puts his trust in God, sufficient is (God) for him. For God will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has God appointed a due proportion.” (065.003)

For more information please read my post about Allah’s Names & Attributes http://abdulaziz-mohammed.blogspot.com/2011/05/allahs-names-attributes.html

Non-Muslim: I Dont think the man with the same name as the Saudi Arabian head of state is going to have much to say after all that.

AbdulAziz: Speaking of my name, “Abdul” means Servant of “Aziz” its meaning is the invincible who cannot be reached and overcome, who is not overcome by anything, the one for whom there is no equal, the one whom all honor and power belongs...

Discussion with Non-Muslim 2

Non-Muslim: So even though we're using the intelligence he gave us to ask for evidence of his existence, God will only accept those people who chose to believe in something for which there was no evidence. Seems a little arbitrary dontcha think?

AbdulAziz: I don’t think so, you see when humans act; they are in fact asking for something in return, when a human does anything, he is expecting something he will get, whether that returns is given by nature, animals, god….etc for example if I paid 5000$ for charity am expecting something I receive, if I was a Muslim I am expecting God’s reward in the afterlife, if I am atheist I am expecting to make the poor happy which itself gives me a feeling of satisfaction, or I am expecting the media to tell the world how great I am, if I am Buddhist I might do so to free myself from attachment of money, so we all when we act we are actually looking for something in return.

The difference between those who do so for the sake of God and those who do for sake of other things besides (God) is that we were told by God in his books that if you do such acts of kindness for my sake I will reward you in this life or hereafter or both. However, those who don’t believe in God and don’t believe there is God why should be rewarded for something they don’t believe they exists, so usually they get their rewards in this life (Which they deserve) but they don’t deserve to be rewarded in both lives. It wouldn’t be fair; you can’t equal someone who believed in both this life and hereafter with someone’s belief which was limited to this world alone. If you ask someone who is not learned, by common sense, they know they are not equal, and since they are not equal each should be given what he/she deserves. I can’t give A for someone who got 2/10 in exam and give A for someone who got 10/10 it’s not fair and not logical.

Non-Muslim: I think many of us are wondering, 'why is faith is seen as a virtue'? ...Believing something without evidence (ie. reason to believe) equates to gullibility. So why does the test to enter heaven favor the gullible while condemning the scientific minded?

AbdulAziz: Good question, answering your question 'why is faith is seen as a virtue’ well simply because faith is what drives most people do acts of kindness or stop doing acts of evils. For example, I am someone who have faith in God and his promises, rewards…etc the motivation I get to do act of kindness is far more than not having such faith. Similarly, if I saw money in an empty house, I know it’s my neighbor’s money, however, if the house was empty, and the amount of money was great, I really needed that money, the drives for stealing are great, it’s true that if I was a good person I wouldn’t steal but the chances for stealing is far greater than someone who is originally good person in addition to that he is having faith that an Almighty God exists who sees everything and can see what I am doing, hear what I say, who will punish me for stealing….etc this faith alone can push away the drives for stealing.

No one can deny the benefits of faith, giving money for charity is considered virtue, saying good words, being honest, integrity…etc they are all great virtues and faith is driver to achieve such virtues so that’s why Faith alone can be considered a virtue. We can go to the next village, city by walking but we can go there easier by car, plane…etc thus we appreciate cars for their benefits, same thing goes for faith.

As for science, it’s important to know that Scientifically-proven-facts can never contradicts with God’s words (For us Muslim we believe it’s Quran) so until now scientifically-proven-facts never contradicted Quran that’s why Muslims are proud of that book, because for more than 1400 years there was no contradictions, we Muslims believe there will NEVER be scientifically proven fact contradicting Quran because we believe that Allah is all wise, all knowing, he created laws of nature….etc so his words and his world can never contradicts.

Now the difference is again by those who believe in God and those who are scientific-minded is that they only believed in what they see, their mind couldn’t accept something they only hear about so they will not be given like those believed. I will give you example, suppose that I am a very kind & rich person, told you who ever comes to my house I promise I will give him/her 10 Million dollars, those who believed in my words if they came I will give them while those who I wouldn’t give them, I would simply say: “Well I am sorry guys, I told you, but you didn’t believe me” so don’t blame me but blame your minds for not believing that I was rich, kind and I will give for those who come, it’s not my problem at all.

Why we (Who believe in God) follow what he says and find no difficulty in believing in his existence is simply because we never found that believing in his existence contradicts reasoning...

Discussion with Non-Muslim 1

I was discussing with some Non-Muslims and I decided to share our discussions.

Understanding God’s works

Non-Muslim: If that is the case then all holy books which claim to be the words of God are false because God is something we can't understand and so his words are also things we can't understand.  Even the prophets are false as they can not understand God.  If they can't understand God, how can they claim to speak his words and know what he wants?

AbdulAziz: What I meant is that we can’t understand [All] the reasons behind God’s works. I am not sure how to write it properly in English but we in Arabic say:

من المستحيل الإحاطة بجميع الحكم من أفعال الله

We may understand one reason why God allowed one thing to happen but we can never know all the reasons.  This happens even in our life, an author, with his words, means a lot of things but the reader only might discover two wise thoughts behind the words… while another discovered ten. However God’s words is understandable, all can understand the words of God they are perfect with no flaw at all, for more than 1400 years no human could come up with a single flow in God’s words. Flow and contradiction only occurs in words written or said by being with limited knowledge and wisdom, but someone whose wisdom is above all and knows everything the chance of contraction is zero. We understand clearly why God said this or that but the pearls behind his words cannot be counted for no human can know it all unless that human was god which he is not.

Non-Muslim: To which the son will understand later on in life.  What the father knows is not out of reach of the son.  In fact, a father should hope his son knows and understands more than he does when his son becomes a man.

AbdulAziz: That’s why in many verses in the Holy Quran when Allah talks about his great signs like heavens and earth, mountains, creatures… he says these are signs for people of understanding, for people who have brain to think. It’s because such signs are so clear and they are proving the existence of God it’s really surprising that same humans are denying.

Non-Muslim:  So if I were to say... rape your wife, skin your children alive, and let you live for as long as I can (say... 50 years), God is still merciful?  Interesting....

AbdulAziz: You see, you are trying to prove God is merciful or not without having knowledge about him, that’s why God himself in his books said verily those who are talking about God without knowledge they are committed a grave sin.  Why is that? Well suppose I am well known for the many things I gave, I saw an animal is in pain, it is dying and there was no way to let it rest in peace but to kill it immediately, and then someone like you said you are not merciful. People would say that’s a wrong judgment because what AbdulAziz did is that he sets the animal free of pain, even normal humans like me and you would say your judgment was wrong. Imagine the difference between God and myself. If all the humans knowledge and wisdom accumulated and put in one brain compared to God’s knowledge and wisdom is like a ring thrown in the desert.  The problem is most people here may believe in the existence of God but they don’t believe in his attributes even if they claim they do.

Non-Muslim: One can see God anywhere he wants.  But that doesn't mean that he exists.

AbdulAziz: Can you see your own soul? You can’t see but no human can deny that human is not only the body, those who are claiming such a thing are just shouting to let sane give them the honor of being known as “Ignorant” because they are denying things that can’t be denied. It’s as simple as this, if you were able to answer the question God asked like in my signature, "Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? " (Translations of Allah’s words) if you answered you would realize you can’t deny the fact that God exists.

After countless discussions and topics >>>

Non-Muslim: If you have evidence, show it. Using a cop-out like 'There is evidence, but you can't see it because you don't have faith' is not an acceptable 'proof'

AbdulAziz: The moment you will sincerely wish to know the truth and listen with your heart not listening with your ears and denying with your heart, you wouldn’t need any evidence. God’s signs were accepted by Billions, just because few people deny his existence doesn’t make the few people who denied his existence the smart while the rest ignorant.  If you are sincerely looking for evidence, please search my topics and read my posts, you will find the answer otherwise save your time and say: “I want to be what I want not I want to be what is right to be”

Non-Muslim: should God interfere in certain situations
AbdulAziz: I guess it’s not we who should decide, it’s only God. You can’t tell someone who is smarter, greater, far more knowing than you to do something when his plan is better than yours; his actions are perfect compared to yours. In fact when we are saying God should do this or do that we are actually insulting God and in fact insulting ourselves by showing others to what extent our ignorant can grow.  If we humans can’t accept other humans to tell us we should do this or that in a specific situation how we are allowing ourselves to say such things about what God should do. I am translating what God said in the Holy Quran “Say: Do ye know better than God?” every sane human knows the difference between a human and God, if you ask a kid, a learned man, an old man, a farmer, if you ask him who knows more, you farmer or God? You will not find a sane person saying he is smarter than God. The moment you will claim you are smarter and greater than God (If you believe in his existence and attributes) then you can say what God should do and shouldn’t do, however the moment you will say that I guess you will find it’s quite hard to find someone replying to you only if he was on the same level of ignorance.

~Work For God~

You have eyes to see what is good
And not to picture anything rude

He gave you thy pair for a holy task
See through faith, is that hard to ask?

You have hands meant for noble work
And not to steal your neighbor's stork

He gave you thy pair for a sacred task
Serve your God, is that hard to ask?

You have feet destined for the righteous path
And not to follow the ways of an evil scathe

He gave you thy pair for a venerable task
Work for God, is that hard to ask?
