There is no one being greater than He
The Creator of each bird and tree
Though worlds and mountains came to be
He sends his mercy towards you and me.
What can I do, one small as I
With no great powers of my own
I cannot make the small birds fly
Or the giant trees around me grow.
I cannot paint the sunset sky
Grand colors high above
And though my hopeful heart does try,
I can’t sing like the dove.
What can I give the Lord of All
To confess my love and gratitude?
When I with pen and paper scrawl,
My words prove simple platitudes.
One simple power God gave me,
Within my own two hands
To share His love to those I see
And strangers in all foreign lands.
He freely gives to all who try,
So, towards my neighbors, why can't I?
